Central BBQ
Central BBQ is a Memphis barbecue institution founded in 2002 by competitive pitmasters Craig Blondis and Roger Sapp, who met on the Memphis in May barbecue circuit in the 1980s. The restaurant slow-smokes ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and wings over hickory and pecan wood, earning the title of #1 BBQ in Memphis from the Memphis Flyer from 2006 to 2012 and a spot on Southern Living's 2019 Top Ten in the South list. Featured on Pitmasters, BBQ with Bobby Flay, and in national publications including Garden & Gun and USA Today, Central BBQ now operates five locations including one in Nashville.
