Del Taco was founded on September 16, 1964, by Ed Hackbarth and David Jameson in Yermo, California, originally called 'Casa Del Taco' and selling 19-cent tacos and 24-cent cheeseburgers on its opening day. The chain is the second-largest Mexican quick-service restaurant brand in the United States, serving more than three million guests weekly at nearly 600 locations across 19 states. Known for its dual Mexican-American menu, Del Taco offers tacos, burritos, and its signature crinkle-cut fries alongside classic burgers and breakfast items.
