Duck Donuts was founded in 2006 by Russ DiGilio in Duck, North Carolina — a beachside Outer Banks town that gave the chain its name — and has since grown into a franchise with 135+ locations across 25 states and international outposts in Canada, Qatar, Egypt, and Thailand. The concept centers on warm, made-to-order vanilla cake donuts customized with coatings, icings, and toppings like bacon crumbles and shredded coconut. Breakfast sandwiches, espresso drinks, and ice cream sundaes round out the menu.
