Garcias Mexican Food

Garcia's Mexican Food is a Tex-Mex landmark on San Antonio's near west side, family-owned and continuously operating since 1962. The kitchen serves beloved breakfast tacos, carne guisada, cheese enchiladas, and fideo loco until early afternoon, drawing lines around the building on weekends. In 2023, the New York Times named Garcia's smoked brisket taco one of the 23 Best American Dishes of the year, and the restaurant has earned a listing in the Michelin Guide.
