Hot and Hot Fish Club is a landmark Birmingham, Alabama restaurant opened in 1995 by James Beard Award-winning chef Chris Hastings and his wife Idie, widely recognized as one of the first farm-to-table restaurants east of the Mississippi. Chef Hastings, who trained under Frank Stitt and famously defeated Bobby Flay on Iron Chef America in 2012, blends Southern, French, and California cooking styles using regional, seasonal ingredients. Located at Pepper Place in Birmingham's creative district, the restaurant has been a defining force in shaping Birmingham into a nationally recognized culinary destination.
