Founded in Japan in 1977 by Kunihiko Tanaka and expanded to the U.S. in 2009, Kura Sushi is America's largest revolving sushi bar chain, operating nearly 70 locations across 19 states. The chain is distinguished by its patented Sendo-kun freshness dome system and a menu of over 140 items made without artificial seasonings, preservatives, or colorings. Its gamified plate-return system and drink-delivery robots have earned it a reputation for "eater-tainment."
