Kyuramen was founded in 2014 by New York entrepreneur Gary Lin, who drew inspiration from extensive travels through Japan's regional ramen scenes, opening its first U.S. location in Flushing, New York in 2019. The chain's name references its nine core ramen styles, and its signature Tokyo Tonkotsu Shouyu Ramen has sold over half a million bowls nationwide. Having grown to more than 126 U.S. locations, Kyuramen is recognized for its honeycomb-shaped private booths and viral tableside-sliced omurice.
