La Viña Aragon is a cash-only Cuban cafeteria in Hialeah that has been open since the 1980s, widely regarded as the closest any Miami restaurant comes to a true home-cooked Cuban meal. The menu is built around classics like vaca frita, pollo empanizado, ropa vieja, and pan con bistec, all served at remarkably affordable prices in an old-school setting frozen in time. Its pan con mantequilla — oozing with garlic-rubbed margarine — is considered by many to be the best in Miami.
