LeRoy and Lewis Barbecue launched in March 2017 as a food truck in Austin's Cosmic Coffee + Beer Garden parking lot, earning a reputation for "New School Barbeque" sourced exclusively from small Texas ranches. The restaurant was ranked #1 on Texas Monthly's Best New Barbecue Joints in 2019 and reached #5 on the magazine's Top 50 Texas BBQ list in 2021 while still operating as a food truck. In 2024, LeRoy and Lewis became one of the first barbecue restaurants to receive a Michelin Star when Michelin evaluators visited Texas for the first time.
