Lillie Pearl opened in November 2020 in Richmond, Virginia, founded by husband-and-wife team Chef Michael Lindsey and Kimberly Love-Lindsey as a tribute to Lindsey's grandmothers, whose Gullah Geechee heritage and North Carolina roots shape the menu. Chef Lindsey blends West African heirloom ingredients and Southern African American cooking traditions with global culinary influences, producing dishes like obe ata braised lamb shank and signature short rib egg rolls with collards and cream cheese. The restaurant relocated to a new space at 305 Brook Road in February 2026.
