Opened in 2020 in Nashville's 12 South neighborhood by Irish chef Trevor Moran — a Noma and Catbird Seat alumnus — Locust quickly became one of America's most lauded restaurants, earning a Michelin Star in 2025 and Food & Wine's Restaurant of the Year in 2022. The intimate, reservation-only spot serves a seasonal menu driven by seafood and local produce, with celebrated dishes including a crab omelette with caviar, razor clams, and house-made shaved ice (kakigōri). Moran also received a James Beard Best New Chef semifinalist nod in 2024, and Locust ranked #1 on The Tennessean's Top 25 Restaurants list in 2023.
