MilkShake Factory is a fourth-generation Pittsburgh dessert institution with roots tracing back to 1914, when Greek immigrants Charlie and Orania Sarandou opened a small soda fountain and chocolate shop in the city's Lawrenceville neighborhood. Today the brand offers over 55 handspun milkshake flavors alongside premium chocolates, has grown to more than 11 locations in the Pittsburgh metro area, and is expanding nationally through franchising.
