Mission BBQ

Mission BBQ is an American barbecue chain co-founded on September 11, 2011 — the 10th anniversary of the September 11 attacks — by Bill Kraus and Steve Newton as a tribute to military personnel, police officers, firefighters, and first responders. Operating over 135 corporate-owned locations across the eastern United States, the chain slow-smokes meats on-site with white oak wood for up to 16 hours, plays the national anthem daily at noon, and offers free meals to service members and first responders on Veterans Day and September 11.
