Red Mill Burgers is the undisputed Seattle standard for onion rings, with their cornmeal-dusted, black-pepper-forward rings winning best-burger-joint honors from Seattle magazine and appearing at the top of every local onion ring ranking. Named Babe's Onion Rings after co-owner Babe Shepherd, the rings are thick-cut, golden, and fried to a crackle with a batter that is genuinely seasoned rather than just a bland coating. The Phinney Ridge location opened in 1994 and has been winning awards every year since.
