Royal Sushi & Izakaya

Royal Sushi & Izakaya in Philadelphia's Queen Village neighborhood was opened in 2017 by chef Jesse Ito, who grew up working at his family's acclaimed New Jersey sushi restaurant Fuji. Chef Ito earned the James Beard Award for Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic in 2025, holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand, and has appeared on North America's 50 Best Restaurants list, with his 16-seat omakase carrying a waiting list hundreds deep.
