Subculture Urban Cuisine and Cafe was founded in 2016 by Chilean-born brothers Pablo and Javier Bonacic at 5737 Nolensville Pike in Nashville, serving a globally-inspired menu of burgers, hot chicken, empanadas, and ramen using locally sourced ingredients and homemade bread. The restaurant won both Nashville Scene's Hot Chicken Week and Burger Week in 2017 and earned Best of Nashville recognition over its nine years of operation before its Nolensville location closed in May 2025.
