Süss Cookie Company was founded in 2010 by Jess Larson in Midway, Utah, starting as a home baking operation before expanding into a retail bakery. The name 'Süss' — pronounced like 'Dr. Seuss' and meaning 'sweet' in Swiss German — reflects the company's roots in Midway, Utah's Swiss-influenced heritage. The bakery has expanded to include a Provo location at The Shops at Riverwoods and has appeared on numerous Best of Utah lists.
