The Busy Bee Cafe

The Busy Bee Café was established in 1947 by self-taught cook Lucy Jackson on what is now Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW in Atlanta, making it one of the city's oldest continuously operating restaurants. A gathering place for civil rights leaders including Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the café won the 2022 James Beard America's Classics Award — the first Atlanta restaurant to receive that honor — and has held the Michelin Bib Gourmand Award since 2023.
