The Local Taco opened its flagship location at 315 South Limestone in Lexington, Kentucky in 2011, building a following for its Southern-inspired Tex-Mex cuisine using locally sourced, preservative-free ingredients. The independently owned restaurant has been featured on Secrets of Bluegrass Chefs and expanded to a second Lexington location in 2022.
