Vecino is a modern Mexican restaurant in Detroit's Midtown neighborhood, co-founded by Mexico City native Adriana Jimenez and Lukasz Wietrzynski, who conceived the concept in 2019 and opened it after COVID-19 pandemic delays. Inspired by Mexico City's dining scene, the kitchen practices open-fire cooking and in-house nixtamalization, using high-quality ingredients to present elevated yet approachable Mexican cuisine. The minimalist interior features earthy tones, terracotta, and handblown glass fixtures.
