Vito and Nicks

Vito and Nick's Pizzeria traces its roots to 1920, when Vito Barraco and his wife Mary opened a tavern in Chicago's Lawndale neighborhood. Nick Barraco joined the business after World War II and began making pizzas in 1946 using a guarded family dough recipe; the restaurant moved to its current Ashburn neighborhood location in 1965 and remains a third-generation family business celebrated for Chicago-style thin crust tavern pizza.
