Waraji Japanese Restaurant

Waraji Japanese Restaurant was founded in 1997 by Chef Masatoshi Tsujimura, who had previously introduced sushi to many North Carolinians as the chef at Kanki Japanese House of Steaks beginning in 1984. Located in northwest Raleigh, Waraji is known for its authentic Japanese cuisine, traditional tatami room dining, and the largest sake selection in the Carolinas; in 2021 Chef Masa retired and passed ownership to Reuben Rodillas.
