Xiquita Restaurante y Bar

Xiquita Restaurante y Bar opened on August 2, 2024, in Denver's Uptown neighborhood at 500 East 19th Avenue, founded by James Beard-nominated chef Erasmo Casiano and co-owner Diego Coconati. The restaurant's name is an homage to Casiano's father's nickname for his mother, with an X replacing the CH to evoke an Indigenous Mexican feel. Xiquita focuses on ancestrally rooted Mexican cuisine centered on nixtamalized masa and was named Best New Restaurant in Denver by Westword in 2025, after Bon Appétit listed it among the most anticipated upcoming restaurants in the country prior to its opening.
