Yun Tea House opened in 2023 in San Diego's Convoy District, with a name honoring Yunnan province in China — the birthplace of tea, meaning 'south of the clouds.' The cafe uses an espresso machine to hand-brew each serving of milk tea, features cloud-like decorative fixtures throughout, and pairs its specialty beverages with dim sum items and bowls, operated under the SDB Restaurant Group.
