Zaffiro's Pizza

Zaffiro's Pizza was founded in 1954 by brothers John and Liberio 'Bobby' Zaffiro at 1724 North Farwell Avenue in Milwaukee, a location it still occupies today. The Sicilian-heritage family opened the restaurant after Bobby discovered pizza's popularity on an East Coast road trip, and the pizzeria has since become a Milwaukee institution known for its millimeters-thin, crispy charred crust and generously seasoned sausage, now in its second generation of family ownership.
