Handel's on 96th Street has been in my family's rotation since the early 2000s. The seasonal peach in summer is the best use of Indiana stone fruit I've found. The Coconut Cream is excellent any time of year.

Long's Bakery on Tremont Street has been making the same hand-glazed yeast donuts since 1953. Cash only, opens at 5am, and the line forms early because everyone in Indianapolis knows. The glazed dozen is the only order.
