Black Dog Gelato

Black Dog Gelato was founded in 2010 by pastry chef Jessica Oloroso in Chicago's Ukrainian Village neighborhood, named after her own dog Kaya, after she departed a successful career at the acclaimed restaurant Scylla. The shop is celebrated for its inventive Chicago-style gelato using a Northern Italian base with locally sourced dairy and seasonal produce, producing signature flavors like Goat Cheese Cashew Caramel, and has been rated the number one gelato in Chicago.
