DBA Barbecue was founded in 2009 by Matt Coggin and his mother Lee Coggin in Atlanta's Virginia-Highland neighborhood, bringing slow-smoked Southern barbecue crafted with hickory wood to North Highland Avenue. The menu centers on house-smoked brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and wings, alongside Southern sides like jalapeño slaw and grilled Texas cream corn. A longtime participant in Taste of Atlanta events, DBA expanded to a second Chastain Park location in 2023 and remains one of the city's most celebrated barbecue destinations.
