Humphry Slocombe

Humphry Slocombe is a cult Bay Area ice cream brand founded in San Francisco's Mission District in 2008 by Jake Godby and Sean Vahey, celebrated for wildly inventive flavors like Secret Breakfast (bourbon ice cream with cornflake cookie crumbles), Prosciutto, Balsamic Caramel, and Peanut Butter Curry. Named after characters from the British sitcom Are You Being Served, the shop developed over 150 unique flavors using locally sourced, seasonal California ingredients and has been featured in The New York Times, Bon Appetit, and Vogue. Food Network named it a Top 5 Ice Cream in America, and the Oakland location operates out of a refurbished shipping container at The Hive.
