Shanks Original traces its roots to 1962, when Frank and Evelyn Perri opened Shank's & Evelyn's luncheonette in Philadelphia's Italian Market at 10th and Catherine Streets. The legacy continues at Pier 40 on the Delaware River waterfront, where the restaurant serves many original recipes including its celebrated cheesesteak and roast pork sandwich.
