Thai Fresh opened on August 6, 2008 at 909 W Mary St in Austin, Texas, founded by Chef Jam Sanitchat and Bruce, who met while working at Hoover's Cooking. Born in Thailand and trained from age five in her family's culinary traditions, Jam built Thai Fresh into a multifaceted destination combining a Thai restaurant, gluten-free bakery, coffeehouse, vegan ice cream, and cooking school. The restaurant is known for sourcing local ingredients and has published a cookbook through University of Texas Press.
