The Crack Shack was founded in November 2015 by Top Chef All-Stars winner Richard Blais and business partner Mike Rosen adjacent to their fine-dining restaurant Juniper & Ivy in San Diego's Little Italy neighborhood. Named "Best Fried Chicken Restaurant in the US" by Thrillist, the fast-casual chain built its reputation on Jidori free-range chickens seasoned with a proprietary spice blend and has expanded to multiple Southern California locations and Las Vegas.
