Town Topic Hamburgers at 1900 Baltimore Ave. is one of the original locations in the Kansas City chain founded by Claude Sparks in 1937, operating with limited daytime hours compared to the 24-hour Broadway flagship. The Baltimore location serves the same classic menu of grilled-onion burgers, breakfasts, and homemade chili that has defined Town Topic for nearly 90 years. The chain's iconic neon signage, designed by sign-maker Noel Barnes at the request of founder Sparks, remains a recognizable piece of Kansas City's visual history.
