Uni is a Japanese restaurant in Boston's Back Bay, located inside the Eliot Hotel at 370 Commonwealth Avenue. James Beard Award-winning chef Ken Oringer originally opened Uni Sashimi Bar in 2002 as an intimate annexe to his acclaimed French-American restaurant Clio, earning four stars from The Boston Herald and recognition as Best Sashimi by Boston magazine in 2005. In 2016 Oringer expanded Uni into the full Clio space, creating a larger restaurant serving sashimi, nigiri, maki, and globally inspired small plates.
