Cactus Taqueria

A compact, cash-only family-owned taqueria sitting in a parking lot in the heart of Hollywood, open since the 1980s and a fixture on every serious LA taco list. The battered shrimp taco is delicate and lightly seasoned, the carne asada is charcoal-grilled over a live flame, and the al pastor comes sliced straight from the trompo. LA Taco and the Infatuation have both cited it as essential, and the price point rarely tops five dollars a taco. Order the fish taco and a shrimp taco back to back.
